To guarantee the hygiene of the MERLIN air humidification systems, the option is offered of a process of selective disinfection and a process of on-line disinfection.

UV sterilisation

Reverse osmosis water (permeate) is fed though a UV system and in the process exposed to radiation of approx. 200 - 280 nm (UV-C-range). This inactivates any micro-organisms still existing.


Online hygiene concept

MERLIN uses the additive CIO² for on-line disinfection of the entire air humidification systems.

Continually addition of small amounts of this material guarantees that the entire air humidification system from the feed water to the atomiser jet, is kept hygienically sound at all times regardless of external influences (e.g.: any fluctuations in quality of the feed water).
