TARGETED MOISTURE
MEASUREMENT

Biomass heating systems only fully exploit their potential efficiency if the water content of the combustible material does not exceed certain values. These values differ, depending on the type of heating material. The risk of rotting during storage also varies based on the material.

This is why it is particularly important to measure the water content of combustible materials not only precisely, but also in a specific way according to the material. merlin® therefore offers specific moisture meters with different measuring methods for:

  • Wood chips
  • Bark
  • Pellets
  • Miscanthus
  • Corncobs
  • Wood shavings and sawdust
  • Raw wood and logs

Then are used

  • Fillable measuring devices
  • Measuring devices with a penetrating lance or
  • Moisture meters with a ram electrode.

merlin® also offers specialized equipment for measuring the moisture content of furniture wood, in sawmills or for construction timber.

CONVENIENT AND PRECISE

Biomass moisture meters from merlin® reliably determine the water content of wood chips and almost all other organic heating materials. All merlin® devices are calibrated in an accredited test laboratory, and are developed as well as produced in Austria.
