CERTIFICATIONS

ISO 9001 – Company procedures

This certification is an international standard that specifies minimum standards according to which the processes in a company must be designed. This ensures that customers receive the quality they expect. ISO 9001 refers to quality and reliability of services and supplies, but is not a product certification.

 

 

 

ISO 14001 – Environmental management

This certification serves to align the entire company with goals and needs that affect the environment. The basis is compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Further environmental targets can be selected by the company itself. Improvements can be made in a number of areas, such as materials use, energy use, waste water and emissions management, or green procurement.

 

 

ISO 22000 – Food safety

This certification serves to harmonize the different standards in the food sector. ISO 22000 builds on ISO 9001 and is extended to include the special requirements for food producing, processing or trading companies. ISO 22000 combines a quality management system with an HACCP concept and a required preventive program to increase food safety.

 

 

ISO 13485 – Medical Devices

Since medical air humidification systems are not medical devices as defined by ISO 13485, the standards ÖNORM H 6020:2019 “Ventilation systems in hospitals - Design, construction and control” have been combined with those of ISO 13485 “Medical devices - Quality management systems - Requirements for regulatory purposes” for this certification. This is verified using a list of requirements from TÜV NORD Austria. merlin® thus demonstrates that the requirements placed on the quality management system have been integrated, maintained and regularly monitored.

 

VDI 6022 Sheet 1

With this certification, merlin® meets the requirements of the VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure e.V. - Association of German Engineers) guideline series on the topic of “Room Air Technology, Room Air Quality”. merlin® thus proves the fulfillment of safety and hygiene requirements at a high level. The requirements of the certification also include regular training on hygiene for ventilation and air-conditioning systems.

merlin®’s humidification systems undergo a continuous innovation process. This applies not only to efficiency and comfort, but especially to the aspect of hygiene. Under scientific management, products are further developed, customers are advised and further training is offered for merlin® customers at the HygieneForce Competence Center. Expertise in this area is being further developed at a high level in cooperation with universities and laboratories.
